Description
If you compile a list of breweries that have announced themselves at the brewery scene in the last few years, you will surely find the name of the Scottish brewery BrewDog. Established as recently as 2007, BrewDog is already brewing up a storm in the beer industry, coming up with some of the finest quality lager.
Jack Hammer is one of the beers that make BrewDog a famous name. It is straw colored and comes with a frothy white head which is quite fragile and dispels away easily. The aroma is decidedly fruity, with some citrus hops thrown in for good measure. The taste has the distinct presence of fruity hops and malt. You will get the initial taste of sweetness and a biscuit flavor. This apparent sweetness disappears as the malt kicks in, bringing the beer to a bitter finish and aftertaste. There are touches of grapefruit and oranges as well. The finish is long and dry. Carbonation is soft.
If you like your beer to be bitter, Jack Hammer will shake you awake! The bitter taste lingers so nicely that you will reach out for another once you have finish the bottle. This beer is definitely going to be your best friend for some time to come.
