Description
Cantillon is a familial brewery specialized in the traditional Lambic: Kriek, Faro, Geuze… and other wonderful beers.
Located in Brussels, this brewery is owned by the Van Roy-Cantillon family since 1900. The premises, materials and brewing processes are the same as you could find in the beginning of the last century. Tradition and authenticity are the motto of the brewery that the owner calls the “time machine”. Rosé de Gambrinus follows that motto and is brewed according to an ancient recipe.
Rosé de Gambrinus is brewed in the same way as a Kriek but this time with raspberries instead of cherries. The fresh raspberries are macerated in two-year old Lambics to get a maximum of aromas. Cantillon brewery shows us once again all its knowhow with this beer.
This Belgian beer has an ruby robe topped by a creamy white head. On the nose, you will find raspberries. The mouth is also dominated by the raspberry, but you will also find a slight acidity. The finish is dry and very refreshing.
This Rosé de Gambrinus can be tasted within the year of purchase to enjoy all the fruity flavours of the raspberry or aged a few years to enjoy the particular flavor of the Lambic.
