Description
Straffe Hendrik Quadruple transports you into the rich, complex elite of Quadruple Beers, intense and flavoursome! After being brewed, Quadruples beers must be kept for a long time in order to refine the fermentation cycle and develop their full range of organoleptic properties.
Straffe Hendrik Quadruple is dark brown mahogany in colour with the reddish highlights typical of Quadruple style beers, and is topped by a delicate, astonishingly white head. This amazing head treats the nose to complex and very fruity aromas of melon and red fruits accompanied by the roasted notes of coffee and malt. It's a powerful combination but it doesn't completely mask the hints of liquorice that remind us of the alcohol content of this beer, which does after all have an ABV of 11%.
In the mouth, Straffe Hendrik Quadruple reveals itself to be a highly complex beer! Beautiful flavours of red fruits and grapes become immediately apparent, closely followed by the slightly roasted flavours and the liquorice hints of fermented fruits. Whilst the alcohol is certainly noticeable, it never dominates the palate and, overall, gives balance to the beer.
Straffe Hendrik Quadruple is a true masterpiece from the excellent De Haalve Man brewery, and a beer that confirms their craftsmanship and their well-merited reputation!
